The Student Research Program is an ongoing science research project being conducted by high school students in Southern California. Students who take part in the program become experts in wetland science while exploring questions at the cutting edge of habitat restoration.

The program begins with a classroom introduction to wetland science followed by field exercises that explore the evolving natural history of Bolsa Chica. The data they collect includes plant populations and water quality. By posting their data at this site, and integrating their data with other students' findings, classes look for trends and make predictions about the wetland restoration process.
